Summary
From cave dwellers to courageous rebels, follow the remarkable evolution of the Pueblo Peoples. Born of the stark beauty of sandstone mesas and burnt red canyons, the Hopi, Navajo, Pima, Isleta and apache thrived in the barren Southwest. They cultivated corn, built communities, developed intricate road systems through the desert lands and conquered an unforgiving landscape for centuries...only to be defeated by the Conquistadors. Coronado enslaved them to serve his lust for gold. Manifest Destiny pushed them to the brink of extinction. Warriors like Geromino and Cochise fought back, but were eventually imprisoned. Now five tribespeople retell the epic story in an effort to rekindle the spirit of their ancestors
