Context of Trade adjustment assistance amendments : hearing before the Subcommittee on International Trade of the Committee on Finance, United States Senate, Ninety-fifth Congress, second session on H.R. 11711, an act to improve the operation of the adjustment assistance programs for workers and firms under the Trade Act of 1974 : S. 939, a bill to amend the worker adjustment assistance provisions of the Trade Act of 1074 in order to provide that workers may be covered under certification of eligibility to apply for such assistance if they are totally or partially separated from adversely affected employment within two years before the date of the petition for such certification : S. 1658, a bill to amend title II of the Trade Act of 1974 relating to relief from injury caused by import competition : S. 3500, a bill to amend the Trade Act of 1974 in order to provide for federal reimbursement to states for unemployment insurance benefits paid to workers who are eligible for adjustment assistance benefits under such act, and to repeal the provisions of law which reduce certain tax credits for employers in any state which does not enter into, or fulfil its commitments under, a federal-state agreement regarding the administration of worker adjustment assistance benefits, October 2, 1978
